Marrowbone Tea Atelier

Camellia sinensis grown under glass in the Hudson Valley, processed by hand.

Hudson, NYHudson Valley

Tea is not supposed to grow at this latitude. Under glass, with the right cultivar and a great deal of stubbornness, it does.

The house

Two hundred plants of a cold-hardy Georgian cultivar. We pick by hand, wither on bamboo, and roll in small batches.

Visiting

Sessions are slow and quiet. Six people, five infusions, ninety minutes. No alcohol served.
